Wasn't sure about the vegan leather at first but it actually feels surprisingly soft in the hand, no plasticky stiffness at all. The smooth side is gentle enough for a first try while the textured side gives a bit more bite when you're ready for it.

I was a bit nervous trying this out, but the dual-sided design made it easy to start gentle on the smooth faux leather side before flipping it over. The vegan leather feels surprisingly nice in hand, not cheap or plasticky at all.

The dual-sided design is genuinely useful, smooth on one side and a bit more grippy on the other depending on what you're after. The vegan leather feels softer than I expected for the price. Only gripe is the size, it's smaller than I pictured, so it's more of a warm-up than anything heavy.
