The pump mechanism gives a really steady, controlled vacuum, which is what I cared about most. Took me a couple tries to get the seal right, but once I did the graduated scale made it easy to track progress.

The clear cylinder with the graduated scale is genuinely handy, you can actually track progress instead of guessing. I use it about three times a week and the vacuum builds up smoothly without any air leaks around the seal.

The pump mechanism gives a steady, controlled vacuum without any sudden pressure jumps, which was my main worry before trying it. I also like that the transparent cylinder lets me keep an eye on the graduated scale the whole time.
