Wasn't sure the textured shape would make much difference, but the raised dots along the shaft genuinely add sensation without feeling rough. They roll on easily too and never felt like they were going to slip.
The ribs sit low on the base and honestly make a bigger difference than I expected. My partner noticed the raised dots right away too. Twelve in the box lasts us a good while.
