The surface is surprisingly smooth for how sturdy this feels, so it slides through knots without any friction burn. I've used it a few times now and the 10m length gives plenty of room for more elaborate ties without running short.
Ten meters turned out to be the perfect length for floor work, with enough left over to double up without hunting for more. What sold me is how the smooth finish glides through a knot instead of catching.
